    ISATT'2001 Scope:

    Papers submitted for ISATT´2001 are requested on recent developments, trends and applications in:
    Theme: - Connecting Policy and Practice: Challenges for Teaching and Learning in Schools and Universities Sub-themes:

    1. Classroom Pedagogy and Curriculum Development
    2. Policy Development: effects on teacher educators, teachers, schools and teaching
    3. Lifelong Learning for ALL
    4. The New Technologies: Innovation Research and Practice
    5. Contexts for Learning and Change: schools leaders, classrooms and cultures
    6. Partnerships for Learning
    7. Standards, accountability and effectiveness research in Schools and Higher Education
    8. Teacher Training and the Continuing Professional Development of Teachers
    9. Higher Education: models for quality and academic achievement of students

    Prospective authors should submit electronically a 200 - 300 word abstract before 30 April, in winword format. The abstract sould sumarize your work to be presented and include the title, author(s) name(s) and affiliation(s), and identify up two application sub-themes; the contact author should be identified by providing his/her mail address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address. Papers submitted without application areas will be placed at the discretion of the review committee.

    All submitted abstracts will be considered for oral or poster presentation as well as symposia (according to the Scientific Committee criteria), unless clearly specified by one of the following sentences, to be included after the paper title: "Poster only", "Oral presentation only" or "Symposia only".

    The contact author will be notified of the paper acceptance, by e-mail, by 31 May 2001. Authors of accepted abstracts for ISATT´2001 will be requested to produce a final paper (6 pages maximum). The final papers will be included in The ISATT´2001 book.

    The language of the Conference will be English; it will include three types of sessions: invited lectures, symposia, oral presentations (15 minutes presentation, 5 minutes discussion), and poster presentations.
